West Springfield -Edward Allyn Most (Buddy), angel, best friend, husband, and father passed away on October 3, 2017 as a result of a tragic accident. Edward was born in Springfield, MA on May 16, 1950. He attended Chicopee Schools and was a graduate of Holyoke Community College. He was a Roofing Contractor with Martin Roofing LTD. Prior to, he worked at Valley Wholesale BLDG. products. He was Stationed in Augsburg, Germany from 1971-1973 with the Army Security Agency. He met the love of his life in 1967 and had celebrated his 40th Anniversary two weeks prior to his untimely death while celebrating his second Honeymoon at Virginia Beach. Edward was an avid WSSA Soccer Coach and supporter. He enjoyed gardening, listening to music, playing his guitar, tin whistle and Bohran. Edward loved to go dancing with Mary and you could see the two of them at concerts everywhere. He loved celebrating St. Patrick’s Day and hosting Corned Beef dinners with family. Edward was pre-deceased by his father Curtis, mother Catherine, sisters Barbara and Debbie, parents-in-law, Edward and Mary Phelan, and brothers-in-law, Patrick and Robert. Edward is survived by his wife Mary (Phelan) Most and six children, Shannon Tapley, Brian Most, Kelly Most, Marianne Bergeron, Kathleen Henry, and Erin Most. He is also survived by his siblings Dan Most, Tom Most, and Betty Kaplan. Eddie was blessed to have many grandchildren and number 9 will be born in January. Eddie was surrounded by his family at the time of his death. He will be greatly missed. We will be watching for you on all the beaches as the waves roll in. Keep your beautiful tan! Calling hours will be Monday Oct, 9, 2017 from 4-7PM at Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield. A Funeral Home Service will be held Tuesday 11 AM at the Funeral Home with burial to follow at St. Michaels Cemetery on State St., Springfield.
