Frederick "Freddie" Phillip LaGuercia, 88, of Falmouth Road passed away Tuesday at home. He was born in West Springfield on May 1st, 1929 to the late Antonio and Mary (Pepperil) LaGuercia. He lived there all of his life and was a 1947 graduate of West Springfield High School. He owned and operated Carol’s Cars on Bay Street in Springfield for years. More recently he was the owner/operator of Deals-4-Wheels in Westfield. He was a longtime communicant of St. Thomas Church. Freddie was true "car guy" and devoted his life to his businesses. He loved jazz, his Friday nights at the Crest Room, and his New England Patriots. He was the beloved widower of Edna L. (Elliott) LaGuercia who passed away in 2015, loving father of David E. LaGuercia and his companion Randi Burgess of Agawam, Debra Green and her husband Thomas of West Springfield, and Darlene M. Roache and her husband Neil of Westfield, brother of Marie Latourneau, devoted grandfather of Kristan and Rachel LaGuercia, Jordan and Noah Green, Stephen and Lauren Roache, and the late David LaGuercia Jr. (1990), and he also leaves his great grandson Jackson Xanders. The funeral will be 9 AM Monday at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Spfld., followed at 10 AM by a Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Church. Burial will be at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Springfield. Calling hours are Sunday 4-7 PM at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
