Obituary
Dolores Norma (Poirier) LaGrange, 77, of Moore Street passed away Monday at Baystate Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on February 19, 1943 to the late William and Grace (Clarke) Poirier. She lived most of her life in West Springfield and Agawam. Dolores was a waitress for over 35 yrs. at the Parthenon Restaurant in Agawam and prior to that she worked at The Windmill Restaurant formerly of West Springfield. She enjoyed Bingo and her trips to the casinos, but she truly loved the time spent her children and grandchildren the most. She was the loving widow of late Allen LaGrange and prior to that she was married to the late Charles Connors. Beloved mother of Deborah May and her husband Eric of Arizona, Pat Connors of West Springfield, Kevin Connors and his wife Shirley of Agawam, and JoAnne Newsome and her husband John of Agawam, caring stepmother of Kathy, Allen Jr., and Lisa, caring sister of John Poirier of Agawam, Robert Poirier of Springfield and the late William Poirier, cherished grandmother of 24 and great grandmother of 1. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. There will be a Funeral Mass Monday at 11 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church followed by a burial at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the DAKIN Humane Society, 171 Union Street, West Springfield, MA 01089 or to Shiners’ Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
