Carole A. (Nicholson) Thompson, 82 passed away Sunday Sept. 1, 2019 at Linda Manor in Northampton. Born in Springfield, Dec. 7, 1936 she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Leah (Lavoie) Nicholson. Carole was a graduate of W. Springfield High School and worked as the food manager for the Farm Credit Bank for many years. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and was a wonderful cook. Her beloved husband George died in 1982. She leaves her loving daughters, Michele Thompson of Springfield and Kathleen Rose of W. Springfield, her beloved sister, Nancy Harland of Longmeadow and 8 beloved grandchildren, 7 loving great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her children Sheila, Mark and John and her sister Joan Terzi. A Funeral Home Service will be held Friday Sept. 6, 2019 at 11am from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. W. Springfield with burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be 9-11am. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Linda Manor for their wonderful care and support.
