Hazel M. Gamelli, 86, passed away June 30, 2019 in Baystate Medical Center. She was born Sept. 5, 1932 to the late Frank and Margaret Doody. Hazel worked for over 25 years as a nurse’s aide at Baystate Medical Center. She loved to travel with her late husband Alphonse, who predeceased her in 2008. Hazel loved being around her family, from dinners to birthday parties, she just loved being with them. She leaves her loving daughters; Marie E. Bond and her companion Americo “Rico” Petrello of W. Spfld., Joan E. Marino and her husband Peter also of W. Spfld., and Nancy A. Gamelli-Thomason and her companion Roger Belisle of Westfield, her grandchildren; David A. Bond (wife Lori O’Connor-Bond), Ciara Petrello, Emily F. Marino (companion Collin Ahearn), Katherine E. Ekstrom (husband Brian), Peter C. Marino, Samuel A. Marino, Lindsey M. Kiniry (Erik Peloquin), Shaina M. Kiniry (companion Fred Davis) and Breanna M. Thomason, her cherished great grandchildren; Aiden M. Bond, Novah G. Davis and Mackenzie H. Peloquin. Hazel was also predeceased by her sisters Doris and Agnes. Calling Hours will be held WEDS from 9 to 10:15 AM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W. SPFLD., followed by an 10:30 AM Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., W. Spfld. Burial will follow in St. Thomas Cemetery, W. Spfld.
