LADD, Julia (Moore). In loving memory of Judy, a beautiful and gracious woman, who inspired all those whose lives she touched. Judy, 92 of West Springfield passed away peacefully at home on Monday, December 9, 2019. Born in Decorah, Iowa, Judy was the daughter of the late Ralph Moore and Felicia (Plumb) Moore. She graduated from the University of Massachusetts and served as a teacher in West Springfield. For 70 years, Judy was the devoted wife of Harlan B. Ladd, originally of Amherst, MA. Judy was committed to their Church and enjoyed gardening and travelling cross-country with Harlan. Judy was a huge sports fan and loved the Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox and UConn women’s basketball. Her life was her family – Harlan, her three sons, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Judy was the loving mother of Stephen H. Ladd and wife Kim of Venice, FL, Paul E. Ladd and wife Maureen of South Boston, MA, and Peter Ladd and wife Mary of Old Lyme, CT; proud grandmother of Andrew H. Ladd, Aaron S. Ladd, Austin E. Ladd, Christopher B. Ladd, Caitlin (Ladd) Rinaldi, and Craig P. Ladd and great-grandmother of Luke, Teddy, Lucy, Palmer and Madelyn; sister of Clark E. Moore and wife Betty of Venice, FL; and grandmother to family pets Sooner, Bentley, Seamus, and Bailey. Judy will remain forever in our hearts. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 14, 2019, at Mittineague Congregational Church, 1840 Westfield Street, West Springfield.
