Justin T. Lingenberg passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 29th, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family and friends. He was born on May 22, 2001 in Springfield and grew up in Agawam. Justin was a 2019 graduate of Agawam High School where he played soccer, basketball and volleyball. Justin was a patient, kind, and caring young man who had an impact on everyone that met him. Despite his diagnosis, he refused to stop living life to the fullest. He remained active and just enjoyed life, infecting everyone around him with his courage and strength. He leaves his beloved parents Thomas Lingenberg of Agawam, and Jennifer (Hartmann) Lingenberg of West Springfield and his loving sister Jessica Lingenberg of Agawam. He also leaves his cherished grandparents Rosemarie Lingenberg of Chicopee and Robert and Diane Hartmann, also of Chicopee; aunts and uncles Karen and Daniel Dress, Denise and Jim Lepage, Kathleen Lingenberg and Paul Pasterzek, Chris and Jeanne Hartmann, Bob and Julie Lingenberg, and Chach and Tim Jackson; and cousins Crystal, Drew, Steven, Danny, Michael, Emily, Andre, Emily, Lauren, Andrew, Lindsay, Maya, Klara, Travis, Isaiah, Luke, Jake, and Nate. He was predeceased by his grandfather Wilfred Lingenberg in 2009.The Lingenbergs would like to thank all of the family, friends, and community that rallied behind Justin and supported him and his family. Calling hours will be Thursday from 4 – 7 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. His Funeral Mass will be Friday at 10:30 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield. There will be a private burial at St. Thomas Cemetery.
