Kenneth C. MacDonald, 62, passed away suddenly in his wife’s arms on Aug. 28, 2019. He was born Aug. 6, 1957 to Beverly (Barber) and the late Kenneth MacDonald. Ken was a graduate of Westfield Vocational. He worked as an independent owner/operator truck driver for United Van Lines for 40 years. Kenny enjoyed building fires at his camp in Whately. He loved going to Old Orchard Beach each year and recently took the trip of a lifetime to Alaska on a cruise with his wife Peg. Ken was a giving, generous man who was always willing to help his family, friends and neighbors. Besides his mother Beverly of W. Spfld., he leaves his wife Margaret “Peg” MacDonald, his sons Ben and Eric MacDonald of South Hadley, his brother Wayne MacDonald of Westfield, his sister Joanne MacDonald of W. Spfld, his sisters-in-law Patricia M. Johnson, Kathy Johnson and her husband DJ. His nephews Austin Johnson and Kyle Tingley, his niece April Johnson and his great nieces Mia and Aria, In addition to his father, Ken was also predeceased by his brothers; Bruce, George and Gordon MacDonald. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held TUES 11:30 AM in St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., W. Spfld. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling Hours will be held TUES from 9 to 11 AM at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W. SPFLD. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
