Muriel N. Ardizoni, passed away June 28, 2019 surrounded by her loving family in Baystate Medical Center. Now the party begins. She was born in Westfield, MA on March 10, 1930. Muriel worked as a nurse at the former West Springfield Nursing Home and also privately in the area for many years. She enjoyed traveling with her husband Robert and their friends to Cape Cod. She and Robert also enjoyed going to their lake house in Otis and visiting family in Florida. They both were active in the West Springfield Elk’s Club and Muriel became a member of the Emblem Club. Muriel enjoyed crafts and knitting and would make hats for children with cancer at Baystate Hospital. She loved her Red Sox and loved getting her, at least twice daily, phone calls from her loving grandson Jake. She was predeceased by her husband Robert on April 8, 2005. She leaves her son Richard Ardizoni and his wife Karyn of Enfield, CT., Sherie Jonah and her husband Michael of E. Long., Lindie Dole and her husband Rod of Port St. Lucie, Fl., her 9 grandchildren; Chris and his wife Kristin, Casey, Dan, and Vinny Ardizoni, Samantha and Hannah Combs, Nick, Matt and his wife Tammy and Jake Jonah, her 3 great grandchildren; Ella James, Sophia and Jackson Ardizoni, her sister Jean Barrett, several nieces, nephews and great-nephews. Muriel was also predeceased by her sister Connie St. Pierre. Calling Hours will be held MON July 8th from 4 to 7 PM at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST. Funeral and Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Muriel’s name to the West Springfield Fire Department, Permanent Firemen’s Relief Association, 44 Van Deene Ave., W. Spfld, MA 01089.
