Norman G. Gousy, 83, passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke. Born in Springfield, November 19, 1935 he was the son of the late Alcide and Simone (Roberge) Gousy. Norman worked for the US Postal Service for many years. He was a proud graduate of Cathedral High School and was a communicant of St Thomas Church. He served in the US Army from 1958-1960. His beloved wife, Doris (Dumais) passed away in 2014. He leaves his loving children, Michael and his wife Denise of E. Longmeadow, Robert and his wife Tammie of Burke, VA, Norman and his wife Michele of Belchertown, and Daniel of Northampton, his beloved siblings, Herve Gousy and his partner Madelyn of Chicopee, Helene Taillefer of Chicopee and Lucille Amato and her husband Anthony of Wilbraham, his loving grandchildren, Jason, Lauren Gorlick and her husband Kyle, Allison, Rachel, Gregory, Nicole, Nathan, and Joelle and his loving great granddaughter Gianna. The funeral will be held Tuesday at 9 AM from the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME  1043 Westfield St., West Springfield with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM from St Thomas Church. Burial will be in St Thomas Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held Monday 4-7. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Greater Springfield Special Olympics, C/O Micheal Zolkiewicz, Power Clean Fitness, 45 Baldwin St., E.
