Norman L. Stone, 80, passed away April 2, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 1, 1938 to the late Eva and Walter C. Stone III. Norman graduated from UMASS and received two associate’s degree from S.T.C.C. He worked a multitude of jobs over his lifetime in various areas and was especially proud of his service in the US Army. Norman will be remembered for his great knowledge and appreciation of music, his ability to entertain with his outstanding storytelling, and most notably his love for his family. Norman leaves his wife Judith (Stolz) Stone, his son Bruce and his wife Tasha of Huntington, his daughters; Pam Herrlein and her husband Raphael of Westfield, Bridgette Bell and her husband Rick also of Westfield, Shellie Stone of Granby, CT., and Cheryl Stone-Phillips and her husband Brett of Feeding Hills. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great grandchildren, who he was very proud of, along with his beloved dog Augie. He was predeceased by his grandson Shayne Herrlein. Services are private and at the convenience of the family. A Celebration of Life for Norman will be held on May 19th from 12 Noon to 5 PM at the Sons of Erin, 22 William St., Westfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Westfield Regional Animal Shelter, 178 Apremont Way, Westfield, MA 01085. The TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME IS IN CHARGE OF THE ARRANGEMENTS.
