Sylvia Rita (Ferrara) Drudi, 85, formerly of Dewey Street passed away Tuesday at Care One @Redstone in East Longmeadow. She was born in Springfield on October 9, 1934 to the late Fred and Mary (Cotti) Ferrara. She lived all of her life in West Springfield and was a graduate of West Springfield High School. Prior to retirement Sylvia worked as a Legal Receptionist for LaCroix, Fuller, and Brogan Law Offices of Springfield. She was formerly a communicant of St. Anne’s Church in West Springfield. Sylvia loved cooking, baking, music, the Connecticut seashore, and traveling, especially to Italy. She volunteered for years at the Shriners’ Hospital in Springfield. Her joy in life was her family and she will be remembered by all for her ever present smile. She was predeceased by her loving husband Francis Drudi in 2014. She was the loving mother of Lori Neffinger and her husband Joseph of Westfield, Michael Drudi and his wife Maureen of Deerfield Beach, FL, and Jerry Drudi and his wife Karen of West Springfield, devoted grandmother of Matt Neffinger and his wife Mary, Anthony Neffinger and his wife Lyndsay, Jay Drudi and his wife Janessa, and Jen Conte and her husband Lou, and great grandmother of Rowan, Cecilia and Elijah Neffinger and Luca and Ariana Drudi, and Louie Conte III. She was predeceased by her sister Carol Autorino of Wethersfield, CT. The family would like to express their gratitude for the love and care provided to Sylvia over the years by Landmark @ Monastery Heights, Morning Star Unit and Care One @ Redstone in East Longmeadow. There will be calling hours Thursday (12/26) from 4-6 pm and a Prayer Service at 5:45 pm during the wake at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Spfld. Burial will be private at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Shriners’ Hospital for Children, 516 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104.
