Obituary
Alma N. Fox (Monachesi) 93 of West Springfield passed away on August 30, 2021 at West Minster Point Pleasant Convalescent Home in Bradenton, Florida. Alma was the beloved wife of the late John F. Fox a long-time fire fighter in West Springfield where they lived. Alma grew up in West Springfield where she lived her entire life. Oxford Place was her home for many years where she became an important part of their community. Alma was retired from HP Hood company and a member of St. Thomas Roman Catholic Church. Alma is the beloved mother of her two sons, Gregory Fox of Bradenton, FL and Steven Fox of Plymouth, MA. She also leaves seven grandchildren Amanda Lalich, Daniel Fox, Lauren Grushon, Andrew Fox, Devyn Fox, Allen Fox, Sarah Fox and three great grandchildren. The funeral mass will be held Friday, October 8, 2021, at 10 AM from the St. Thomas Church 47 Pine St. West Springfield with burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Tidewell Hospice, 55 Rand Blvd. Sarasota, FL 34238.
