Alyce A. (Dondley) Sliwa

Alyce A. (Dondley) Sliwa, 86, passed away suddenly Tuesday February 28, 2017 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Norwich, NY, September 2, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Margaret (Lancour) Dondley. Alyce worked for New England Telephone and AT&T for over 25 years retiring in 1987. She was a communicant of St. Thomas Church and a member of the Communication Workers of America, the Telephone Pioneers and was an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan. Her beloved husband, Fred Sliwa passed away in 2014. She leaves her loving children, Robert of Japan, Diane Pajak of Palmer and Karen Sliwa of Southwick, her beloved sister, Priscilla Preble of Lowell, her special grandchildren, Terri, Jennifer, Ashley and Heather and her very special great-grandchildren, Maryjane, Haley, Emma and Elsie. Her son William died in 2014. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 11:30 at St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St. A calling hour will be held Monday from 10AM-11AM at the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield. Burial will be private.
