Obituary
Angeline C. (Urgo) Casey, 84, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Hartford, CT on August 17, 1933 and was the daughter of the late Joseph Urgo and Katherine Crossley. Angie was predeceased by her husband, Richard J. Casey Jr., her granddaughter Melina Montagna and her sister Dolores Ryker. Angie moved here in 1962. She was employed at Mercy Medical center Maternity Ward, The Crest Room in West Springfield and the Agawam Bowl. She was a lifetime member of the Springfield Indians Booster Club. Her greatest pleasures were Sunday dinners with her family, sitting on her front porch reading her books and visiting with her neighbors. She is survived by her four children; Michele (Frank) Montagna, Debra (Al) Rossi, Lorrie Casey, and Richard (Judy) Casey III, her grandchildren; Frank Jr., Jeffrey, Tina, Diana, Joseph, Marc, Matthew, Sarah, Becca, and Eric, her great grandchildren; Alyssa, Connor, Vinny, Jacob, Angelina, Jayden, Marlee, Hannah, Callum, Braden, and Kelsi, her brother-in-law Thomas Tucker of Granite falls, NC and sister-in-law Barbara Casey of Ludlow. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. The funeral will be 9 AM Friday at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Spfld., followed at 10 AM by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial will be at Hillcrest Park Cemetery. Calling hrs. are Thursday from 4-7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations in Angie’s memory may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959 or to Baystate Hospice, 50 Maple Street, Springfield, MA 01103.
