Anita (Berejiklian Alekian) Assarian, 92, passed away July 5 at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Born in Mexico City, November 12, 1927, the daughter of the late Nerses and Maria Berejiklian Alekian. Anita worked at Smith and Wesson for over 20 years and was a member of St. Marks Armenian Church in Springfield. Her beloved husband Albert died in 1999. She leaves her children, Nancy McNulty of West Springfield, Nelson of Springfield and Peter of Ludlow, her 9 grandchildren and several great grandchildren. All services are private and the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
