Obituary
Ann Fitzgerald Sullivan, formerly of West Springfield, passed away at her home in Palm City, Florida on Sunday, April 7th, 2019; on the day of her 63rd wedding anniversary with Roger Sullivan. Born on July 25, 1930 in Springfield, MA, Ann is the daughter of the late Edward Fitzgerald and Alice (Powers) Fitzgerald. Ann was a graduate of Classical High School and followed with a degree from American International College, after which she went on to work at Monsanto prior to raising her family with Roger in West Springfield. Although an avid card player and beach enthusiast with a home in Clinton, CT; her dedication to her Catholic faith was only surpassed by her love of family. Ann was predeceased by her son Neil Sullivan and her sister Mary Allice (Fitzgerald) Lynch. She is survived by her husband Roger Sullivan, along with her sons; Michael Sullivan and his wife Sarah Boss-Sullivan from Cape Elizabeth, ME, Edward Sullivan and his wife Amy (Shepard) Sullivan from West Springfield, MA, Dr. James Sullivan and his wife Karen (Lloyd) Sullivan of Cumberland, RI, John Sullivan from Warwick, RI; and her daughter Martha A. S. O’Neil of Acton, MA. She also leaves 14 adoring grandchildren, Nolan, Connor, Dylan, Megann, Daniel, Hilary, Kelly, Riley, Sean, Elizabeth, Laura, Colin, Ryan and Andrew. Calling hours for Ann will be held on Friday, April 12th, 2019 from 1 – 4 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield, MA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 13th at 11:30 AM at St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine St., West Springfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Redeemer Church, 1454 SW Mapp Rd., Palm City, FL 34990 or St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine St., West Springfield, MA 01089.
