Antonio “Pat” Argiro, 92, passed away June 10, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, June 3, 1931, the son of the late Pietro and Guisipina (Marra) Argiro. Pat owned and operated AP Argiro Trucking for many years, followed by Argiro Service Center on Memorial Ave in West Springfield. He was a hard working man who was also a jack of all trades and a master of most. He was a dedicated family man. He was an avid handicapper of horse racing, loved fishing and gardening and had the ability to tell a great joke or story with his sharp sense of humor. He was a communicant of the former St. Anns Church. He leaves his loving wife, Bernadette (Boulia) Argiro of 69 years. His beloved children, Anthony of Royalston, Joseph and his wife Cindy of West Springfield, Mary Ann of West Springfield and Patrick of West Springfield, his beloved sister, Annette Wheeler of West Springfield, his 3 loving grandchildren and his 6 beloved great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings, Dominic “Mimi”, Frances Podgorski, Albert “Babe”, Marie Zanaboni and James “Jimmy”. The funeral mass will be held Saturday June 17, 2023, 11AM from St. Thomas Church. Calling hours are Sat from 9-10:30AM at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield.
