Arthur A Ross

West Springfield- Arthur "Art" Albert Ross, 77, passed away Wednesday at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield to the late Ruth (Bashaw) and Stanley Ross and lived most of his life there, until moving to West Springfield, 28 years ago. Art was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School and worked as a Salesman at Central Chevrolet for years. He also bartended at the Crest Room, The Riverdale Lanes and The Diplomat. Art leaves his longtime companion, Joanne E. Begley of W. Spfld., his three sons, Steven Ross and his wife Dawn of Torrington, CT, Jeffrey Ross and his wife Jennifer Ross of Springfield and Daniel Ross and his wife Deidre of Manchester, CT, his grandchildren, Jessica, Michael, Luke, Danyelle, Carl, Ryan, Justin and Jenna Ross, one great-grandchild, Ryleigh, his brother, Paul Ross of Northampton and his former wife Judith (Fleischman) Ross. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Ross. The funeral will be Saturday 8AM at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St. W. Spfld., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9AM in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine St, W. Spfld. The burial will follow at private and at the convenience of the family.
