Barbara Adams

West Springfield –Barbara Adams, 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28. She was born in Springfield on January 2, 1939 to Francis and Germaine (Duval) Mailloux. Barbara worked for many years for Sears and Roebuck before retiring in 2006. Barbara enjoyed gardening, stained glass art, sewing, crocheting, and baking. Together with her husband Joseph she loved spending time with their grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved to cheer them on in every endeavor. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Joseph Adams in December 2023 and her sister Susan Klassanos. She is survived by her sons Louis Joseph “Joe” (Donna) Adams of Monson and Kevin (Fernando Gonsalves) Adams of Boston, and daughter Kathy (Chuck) Pappas of West Springfield. Devoted grandmother to Nick Pappas (Laura Robinson), Ashley (Doug) Sauve, Julie (Jeff) Crofts and Alyssa (Nick) Bustamante, and loving great-grandmother to Leif, Isla, Petra, Rhea and Emilia. Services will be private and were entrusted to TOOMEY-O’BRIEN Funeral Home, West Springfield.
