Barbara (Farnsworth) Sheldon

West Springfield -Barbara (Farnsworth) Sheldon, 98, passed away Monday, August 28, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Worcester, September 16, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Carrie (Humphries) Farnsworth. Barbara attended local schools in Worcester and was a graduate of the University of Massachusetts. She was a teacher in the Agawam School System for 18 years. Barbara was a member of the Mittineague Congregational Church and the Ramapogue Women�s Club. Her husband, Robert Sheldon died in 1972. She leaves her beloved sons, Dustin and his wife Lynne of Bolton and Jonathan and his wife Carol of Westfield, her sister, Nancy Funkhouser of Lebanon, NJ and her 4 grandchildren and 8 great- grandchildren. A Funeral Home Service will be held Thursday at 11am at the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield. Burial will follow in Paucatuck Cemetery. A calling hour will be held from 10-11am.
