Bernard �Bernie� Euclid Bushior, quietly departed this world on Friday, August 14th 2015. He�was the fourth child of Alfred Bourgea/Bushior�and Olive Bleau/Blow. Bernie was born on a farm�in Altona, New York on April 6th, 1935. Later he and his family moved to Western Mass in the early 1940s�and they eventually settled in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield. Bernie attended local schools and graduated from Springfield Trade High School in 1954. He was a talented cabinet and furniture maker and worked in this field part time in addition to�his regular jobs. After high school he was also�a long time member of the National Guard "Yankee Division."�Known to be out spoken, he was a�diehard Red Sox and Patriots fan. In the mid sixties Bernie would meet his wife to be,Violette Roy in Manchester, New Hampshire. They were married in 1968 in New Hampshire and settled in Springfield. Bernie was predeceased by his siblings Loyal, Bernadette, Elwin and his wife of 45 years, Violette. He leaves behind a daughter Janet Bushior, his sister-in-law, Camella Bushior and nephews Michael Bushior of Somers, Ct., Ron Bushior of West Springfield and many, many cousins on both sides of his family. Calling hours will be Thursday 8:30 -10:00AM�at the Toomey-O'Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld. followed by a 10:30 Funeral Mass at St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine Street, burial will be at the convenience of the family.
