Blanca (Ocampo) Lopez

Blanca E. Lopez, 70, passed away peacefully at Mercy Medical Center on Friday. Blanca was born December 26, 1944 in El Salvador to the late Rodrigo and Maria (Santana) Ocampo. Blanca was a resident of Springfield and worked for the Springfield Newspaper before she retired. Blanca was devoted to her family. She loved to cook, sew and loved her garden. She is survived her beloved husband Carlos Lopez of (46) years. She was the loving mother of Jaime Lopez and his wife Jamie of Wilbraham, Juan Lopez and Sharon of Pennsylvania, and Karen Lopez of Springfield; caring sister to Antonio and Ana Gloria Ocampo and Evelyn Mejia; grandmother to Madison, Tessa, Jayden, Isabella, Carlitos and Andre. There will be a memorial service for Blanca on Saturday, Jan. 2, 2016 at 11am at Evangelical Covenant Church, 915 Plumtree Road, Springfield, MA 01109.
