Brainerd J. Buffum

West Springfield- Brainerd J. �Buff� Buffum, 95, passed away Wednesday at Mercy Medical Center. He was born in Agawam to the late Valida (Roberts) and Harold Buffum. Brainerd proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He worked for Mass Mutual for thirty-five years. Brainerd was a communicant of St. Thomas Church in W. Spfld. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Mary F. (Collins) Buffum one year ago. He leaves his loving children, James T. Buffum, John M. (Susan) Buffum, Mary P. Buffum and Ann E. Remillard, his grandchildren, Luc Remillard, Briana LaPierre and Kelly Buffum . The funeral mass will be Friday, 12:30pm in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street with burial to follow in St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 11:00AM-12:00PM at TOOMEY-OBRIEN Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld.
