Brigid J. (Richardson) Molloy, 93, passed away Tuesday at Westfield Gardens. She was born October 27, 1930 in Dublin, Ireland to the late Brigit (Griffin) and Christopher Richardson, she was the 7th of 11 children. She spent most of her life in West Springfield. She was an active communicant at St. Thomas Church in West Springfield. She was a Eucharistic Minister there and was a member and instructor for the Schoenstatt Movement for years. She was the beloved widow of John Molloy who passed away in 2017, they were married for 63 years and loving mother of Linda Molloy and her husband David Anderson of Agawam whom she resided with for 23 years, and Brian Molloy of Agawam. She was predeceased by her two sons, Michael and Shawn, her daughter-in-law Joanie Molloy, her five brothers, five sisters, and her lifelong friend and sister-in-law Nyla Molloy. She also was the devoted grandmother of 8 and she leaves many nieces and nephews. Much of her family has settled in Wisconsin, California, and Ireland. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 9-11 am at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 am at St. Thomas Church. The burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Brigid’s may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38101.
