Bruce W. Randall, 53, passed away Sunday at his home in Longmeadow. He was born to the late Jean (Harrison) Randall and Murray Randall of Berkley, MA and has lived in Longmeadow for the past 18 years. Bruce was a graduate of the UMass College of Engineering and received his pilot�s license while in college. He started his career at Pratt & Whitney where he worked for six years as mechanical engineer. He was most recently employed at Mercy Hospital in Springfield and also self-employed as a popular local "Jack of all Trades". Bruce loved cycling, canoeing and working around his house, which he had completely rebuilt, making countless unique and creative home improvements. Bruce was passionate about thoughtful stewardship of the environment and was an inspiration to many others in this regard. He attended the First Church of Christ in Longmeadow and the Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield where he volunteered often. Bruce leaves his loving daughter, Megan Randall of Northampton, his devoted former wife, Mary (Cummings) Randall of Agawam, his sister, Ellen Randall of Los Alamos, New Mexico and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and others who will miss him dearly. Bruce�s funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday at the First Church of Christ, 763 Longmeadow Street, Longmeadow. Guests are encouraged to bring their favorite memories of Bruce for sharing during a reception following the funeral service.
