Obituary
Carl C. Scott Jr., 86, passed away Monday June 7, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Ware, Arpril 2, 1935, the son of the late Carl C. Sr and Mildred (King) Scott. Carl was a graduate of Monson Academy, attended Purdue University and graduated from Western New England College. Carl retired from Hamilton Standard after 42 years then worked at Horst Engineering for 4 years and was a special consultant at United Technology. He was a communicant of St. Thomas Church, a volunteer at the West Springfield Library, coached hockey and soccer and served as vice president of the soccer association, was an avid runner and reader. He especially loved holiday family gatherings and family gatherings at the beach. He leaves his loving wife of 66 years, Barbara (Blanchard) Scott, his loving children, Bernard, Donna Santaniello and her husband Carmino, Michael and his wife Mary, Rosemarie Scott and Carl C. III all of West Springfield, Wendy Adams and her husband Stephen of Milton, VT., Barbara Lucas and her husband Steven of Wilbraham, Christine Corey and her husband Joseph of Bullhead, AZ., Paul of West Springfield and Corrine Eastham and her husband Eric of West Springfield, 18 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The funeral mass will be held Friday at 11AM at St. Thomas Church with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. A calling hour will be from 9:30-10:30 at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. West Springfield. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Shriners Hospital 516 Carew St. Springfield, MA. 01104 or St Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St Jude Pl. Memphis, TN. 38105-1942.
