Carlo L. Lovotti

West Springfield - Carlo L. Lovotti, 88, of Silver Street passed away Thursday at Wingate of West Springfield. He was born in Agawam on April 19th, 1927 to the late Louis and Corinne (Chandler) Lovotti. He grew up there and was a graduate of Agawam High School, where he excelled in football and he later married his high school sweetheart Esther. He was a West Springfield Police Officer for 29 years. He retired in 1982. Carlo was a WW II U.S. Army Veteran. He was a formerly a communicant of St. Ann�s Church and presently is a communicant of St. Thomas Church in West Springfield. Carlo was an avid fisherman and he enjoyed playing pool at the Agawam Senior Center. Beloved husband of 67 yrs. to Esther L. (Mercandante) Lovotti. Loving father of Anthony Lovotti and his wife Patricia of Warren, CT and Robert Lovotti and his wife Ann Marie of Springfield, caring brother of Joseph Lovotti and his wife Theresa of West Springfield, devoted grandfather of Gina, Jim, Nora, and Billy Lovotti. The funeral will be 9 AM Tuesday at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Spfld., followed by a Committal Service at 10 AM at the Massachusetts Veterans� Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. Calling hours are Monday from 4-6 at the funeral home.
