Carole I. Eagan, resident of West Springfield, passed away in the early hours of Monday, April 18, 2022, at the age of 84.Carole was born in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada on April 3, 1938 to Isabell and Frederick Landry. As a young girl she moved to Allston, MA with her family. She graduated from Brighton High School in 1956. She and James L. Eagan were married in St. Anthony’s Parish, on December 17, 1960. She was a loving friend, wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked as a secretary for many years at Liberty Mutual in Weston, MA. She and her husband retired on Cape Cod, and after 58 years of marriage, James passed away on December 5, 2018.Carole is survived by her oldest and dearest friend: Janice Dawe; goddaughter: Robin; sons: Mark, James, Christopher, and Gregory; daughter-in-laws: Nancy and Lisa; son-in-law: Efraín; grandchildren: Amanda (husband Nick), Alyssa (partner Austin), Brian, Britney (partner Dick), Austin (girlfriend Ilima), and Sean. She is predeceased by her granddaughter Kendra. A Funeral Home Service will be held Friday April 22, 2022, at 11AM from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield with a calling hour from 10-11AM.The family wishes to thank the following individuals for their loving care of Carole over the past three and half years: Margarita, Jasmin, Kara, Margie, Suzette, Donna, Margarita, Crystal, her wonderful physical therapist -Cheryl, and many others. They are all true angels here on Earth. Carole loved each of them, and her children are eternally grateful.
