Charles H. Peirce

d. November 16, 2015

Springfield, Charles H. Peirce, 63 passed away suddenly on Monday November 16, 2015 and he was surrounded by his loving family. Charlies passing was brief, peaceful and his only wish was for when his time came to a close here on earth was for his family not to witness him suffer. Charlie was born in Acushnet, MA, April 3,1952, the son of Avis (Faltus) Peirce of Enfield and the late Charles S. Peirce. Charlie had worked for the Davidson Food Company for the past ten years, before that he was the owner of the Agawam Spirit Shoppe, and was also previously employed with JJ Nissen Company. Charlie leaves behind his beloved wife of forty two years, Kathleen (King) Peirce of Springfield. Charlie loved, cherished, and devoted his life to his family and their happiness. In Charlies words he would proudly say the best thing he ever did in his life was being a father to his three girls, known to him as his Charlies Angels. He will be forever missed by his daughters, Casey Goodreau of Southwick, Ashley Egan of Suffield CT, and Kendall Peirce of Feeding Hills, his son in laws, Tracy Goodreau and Michael Egan. In addition, Charlie will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, whom he greatly adored, loved deeply and brought him much joy for which they undoubtedly fulfilled his life with great pride, Jacob, Jordan, Samantha, Isabella, Zachary, Michael Charles and Molly; he leaves his siblings, Joanne Clark of Stafford, CT, and Brian Peirce of Enfield, CT, brother in law James King of Agawam along with their spouses, nieces, nephews, many great friends and especially the Van Ness crew. Charlie was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing in a league at St Anns Country Club. Charlie was not a man of many words; however, his love left an imprint on the hearts of those he encountered. Charlie touched the lives of many with his humble personality and the humility he possessed. A favorite phrase that Charlie used was lets get busy. The calling hours for Charlie will be held Sunday at the Toomey-OBrien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St, West Springfield from 12-3pm.
