Charles W Sudol

Charles Walter Sudol, age 81, died peacefully on August 22, 2024 at the Soldiers Home in Holyoke. Born in Passaic, NJ to the late Stanley and Mary (Barcelowski) Sudol, he was a proud Navy Veteran of the Vietnam war, serving aboard the U.S.S. Okinawa as a supply officer (Lt.jg). Charlie grew up in New Jersey. After his time in the service, he worked in Massachusetts and New Hampshire for the Norton Company. He loved to be social and made many friends wherever he lived. He was compassionate about helping his friends and neighbors. He loved to cook and garden, and he mastered the art of making kielbasa to keep his Polish heritage alive. He rediscovered his passion for drawing and painting in his later years, creating many amazing paintings while living at the Soldiers’ Home.
In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his wife Maryann (Zglobicki) Sudol, and his siblings Lorraine and Stash. He will be sadly missed by his children; Kristi Pinard and her husband Kregg of Bethlehem, NH and Jonathan Sudol and his wife Julia of Westfield, siblings; Grace, Joseph and Irene, grandchildren; Kyle and Kayla and his granddog Pete, as well as his many nieces and nephews. Charlie’s Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Toomey O’Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
