Cheryl Coakley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cheryl on St. Patrick’s day, 3/17/23. Cheryl was born in Montpelier, VT, raised in West Springfield and also resided in Chicopee, and Springfield. Cheryl leaves behind her daughter, Shannon Coakley, 4 grandchildren, and a sister, Bonnie Hershowitz. She was predeceased by her husband, Shawn Coakley, sister, Roselyn Pagan and brother Robert (Bob) Johnson. Although Cheryl struggled with many health issues, thanks to her foster parents, Donna & Paul Gourinski, she lived life to her fullness. She enjoyed spending her days at Quality Adult Day Care in West Springfield where she had made many friends. Her positive attitude, and smiling disposition will be forever missed. A private service was held at Hillcrest Park and Cemetery.
