Christine E. (Wagner) Carey, 78, of Suffield, CT passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025. Born in Queens, New York, August 21, 1946, daughter of the late Edward Wagner and Ann (Krol) Wagner, Christine grew up in NJ before pursuing her studies and building her career as a court transcriber.
Christine was known for her warm sense of humor and her contagious laughter, qualities that endeared her to all who knew her. She especially treasured time spent with her beloved daughter Robin, sharing in life’s simple joys like shopping, travelling and concerts. An avid reader of romance novels and a lover of puzzles—especially crosswords—Christine found delight in the quiet pleasures.
She was predeceased by her devoted husband of 58 years, John Carey, as well as by her cherished granddaughter Audrey Kellerman, brother-in-law James Meizanis and godsons Michael Meizanis and Jeffrey Wagner. Though their absence was deeply felt, she carried their memory in her heart each day.
Christine leaves behind her daughter Robin (Chris) Kellerman of West Springfield; her loving grandchildren Hannah and Thomas, her dear sister Terry (James) Meizanis, sister-in-law Rosemary Wagner and her husband Brian, and nieces and nephews Steven Meizanis, Theresa Fedele and Tara Mcerlean and their families and her close friends
