West Springfield - Clare A. (Moriarty) Kalagher, 86, of Druids Lane passed away peacefully Friday evening surrounded by her loving family. Born July 13, 1929 in Southbridge, MA, she was the beloved daughter of the late Timothy J. and Esther (Laplante) Moriarty. Clare moved to West Springfield with her husband Richard and their family in 1965. She was a faithful parishioner of St. Thomas the Apostle Church and past member of St. Thomas Woman�s Club. Clare worked as an Area Sales Manager at Steiger�s for many years. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Richard P. in 1972; three sisters: Eleanor Moriarty, Mary Canty, Barbara Belanger, and brother, John Moriarty. She is survived by her three children: Kathleen Lynch and her husband Barrett of Southwick, Ann Clark and her husband Robert H. Jr. of West Springfield, and Richard Kalagher and his wife Laura of St. George, VT; six cherished grandchildren: Timothy Lynch (Veronica), Erin DeAngelis (David), Robert H. Clark III (Kelly), Kathryn Galuszewski (Mark), John Kalagher (Sarah), and Daniel Kalagher; eight darling great grandchildren: Camden and Reagan DeAngelis, McKenna and Molly Clark, Rachel and Jacqueline Lynch, Zoe and Ella Galuszewski ; her brother, Francis Moriarty and wife Gwen of Southbridge, and sister-in-law Joan Moriarty of Truro; three step grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Clare loved her family dearly and enjoyed many good times with them. She especially took pleasure in baking goodies for everyone and was affectionately known to all as �Nana�. Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 PM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. The funeral will be Saturday at 9 AM at the funeral home followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Church. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clare�s name may be made to St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 47 Pine Street, West Springfield, MA 01089 or to The Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, P.O. Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
