Colin Malcolm Dinnie, 82, of West Springfield, passed away on February 6, 2026. He was born and raised in Springfield to the late Charles J. Dinnie and Janet Dinnie. After graduating from Trade High School, Colin proudly enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1962 to 1966. During the final two years of his service, he was stationed overseas in the Philippines and Vietnam. Following his military service, Colin worked for NCR before beginning a long and dedicated career as a copy machine technician with A-Copy/Ikon, where he spent more than 30 years. Even in retirement, Colin remained active, working for the Big E Fair for 15 years. A devoted family man and a man of Christian faith, Colin found his greatest joy in spending time with his loved ones. He also enjoyed being out on his boat and cheering on the New England sports teams. Colin was predeceased by his beloved son, Brian C. Dinnie, and his brother, Charles S. Dinnie. He is survived by his daughters, Pamela Ireland and Diane Dinnie; his sister, Barbara J. Prairie (Guy); four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two nieces; and two nephews. A funeral home service will be held Friday February 13, 2026, at 11:30AM from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St West Springfield with burial to follow in the Mass Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours are Thursday February 12, 2026, from 4-7PM.
