Springfield-- Colombe D. (St. Laurent) Desjarlais, 81, died peacefully at Baystate Medical Center on Monday October 5th with her family by her side. She was born in St-Guillaume, Quebec, to the late Dolorese (Girard) and Lucien St. Laurent. Colombe settled in this area in 1971. A talented seamstress, Colombe worked for the interior design firm of Bottaro-Skolnick in Springfield. Whether making alterations or creating beautiful window treatments, she was meticulous and took pride in a job well done. In her later years, she enjoyed spending time with her family and �Bebe�, her faithful dog. She really appreciated the loving care provided by her home care aides. She especially looked forward to Betsy�s daily visits, who treated her as family. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Hope in Springfield. Colombe was predeceased by her beloved husband, Eugene Desjarlais in 2012. She leaves her loving children Marie Desjarlais and her husband James Christofori of Ashford, CT and Jocelyn �Jocko� Desjarlais of Springfield, her adored grandchildren, Lauren and Jessica Christofori and Jonah Desjarlais. She also leaves her sisters, Fernande Desroche and Huguette St. Laurent, a special cousin Jacqueline Cartier and several nieces and nephews who reside in Canada. Colombe held found memories of her younger days spent with them. She was predeceased by brothers, Paul and Guy St. Laurent.
