Corinne Natalie (Vetters) Rolak

Corinne Natalie (Vetters) Rolak, 87, passed away peacefully but unexpectedly at home on December 24, 2016. She was born in Burlington, Vermont on March 12, 1929 to the late J. Leroy and Elizabeth (Dobson) Vetters and settled in Springfield for 62 years. Corinne was a graduate from Cathedral High School (presently RICE High School) in Burlington and met her husband at the University of Vermont. She was predeceased by her two brothers, William Vetters and Thomas Coleman, by her sister and brother-in-law Beverly and Reggie Snow Sr. She worked in the Credit Dept. at Sears and Robuck in West Springfield for 20 years. Corinne loved her extended family of friends and relatives, and always had a beautiful smile. She worked with and supported her husband in his endeavors with non-profit organizations, such as the West Springfield Boys and Girls Club and the Work Opportunity Center. She was recognized for her efforts by the Agawam Rotary Club with the Paul Harris Award. She leaves her best friend and beloved husband of 63 years Joseph L. Rolak. In recent years, she has been surrounded by the love and energy of her favorite nephew Reginald F. Snow Jr, who called weekly to say �What�s up?� She is also survived by her five nieces: Sherry A. Snow of San Ramon, CA, Susan Snow of Yellow Springs, OH, Shelly J. Centebar of Richmond, VT, and Sr. Marcia Mary Polchlopek of the Felician Sisters in Enfield, CT, and Kathy Polchlopek of New Bedford, MA, and two nephews: Ritchie Snow of Burlington, VT and Robby Snow of Myrtle Beach, NC. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-6PM at TOOMEY-OBRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Springfield. The funeral for Corinne will be Thursday at 10:30AM at the funeral home, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 12PM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 417 Boston Rd, Springfield, MA 01109. Entombment will follow at St. Michael the Archangel Chapel Mausoleum, 1601 State Street, Springfield.
