West Springfield- Corrine (Zarolinski) Dassatti, 90, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at the South Portland Nursing Home in South Portland, ME. She was born in Chicopee to the late Delia (Roberge) and Peter Zarolinski and lived in West Springfield most of her life. Corrine was an Executive Assistant at Westmass Area Development Corp. and retired in 1989. She was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in W. Spfld and was active in their Senior Women's Club. Corrine was a member of the Ramapogue Women's Club and, as an avid golfer, she was a member of the Tekoa Women's Golf Assn. and the Western Mass Women's Golf Assn.; she was also twice champion in a Thursday morning bowling league. She volunteered at Loaves and Fishes in Springfield and at Brightside golf tournaments. She was a Corporator at Abilities Unlimited, where she received the "Volunteer Extraordinaire Award" in 2001. Corrine was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gino Dassatti, in 2013, by her son, Philip Dassatti, in 2006, and by her sister, Ann Schultz of Westfield, in 2013. She leaves her loving sons, Stephen Dassatti of Portland, ME, and James Dassatti of Houston, TX, and her adored grandchildren, Alison (Dassatti) Allegresso and Nicholas Dassatti. Calling hours will be 9:30-10:30AMSaturday, August 20th, at the TOOMEY-O'BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., W. Spfld., HOME, followed by a n 11AM Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church, 47 Pine Street. The burial will be Monday, 9AM at the MA Veterans' Memorial Cemetery.
