Corrine �Connie� (Dupaul) McCombe, 97, passed away May 14, 2016 at Providence Place in Holyoke. She was born October 5, 1918 in New Haven, CT to Lea and Joseph (Cartier) Dupaul. She later moved to Springfield and graduated from the High School of Commerce. She worked at F.W. Sickles, Forbes and Wallace, Sears, and the West Springfield School Cafeteria. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 68 years, William McCombe in 2008 and her grandson Douglas in 2004 and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. She is survived by three children, Richard McCombe and his wife Stephanie Solar of Berkeley, CA, William McCombe and his wife Cheryl of Feeding Hills and Susan Crowley and her husband Joseph of Wilbraham. She also leaves seven loving grandchildren, Gabrielle Galvarro, Michael McCombe, Jason Melgard, Scott McCombe, Jessica Pronovost, Laurie Webb and Sarah Albitz, ten great- grandchildren, Zachary, Jasmine, Jacob, Zen, Maegan, Alex, Sydney, Gloria, Noah, and Andrew, and one great-great-grandson, Colin. Connie was a very religious person serving as a Eucharistic Minister at St Thomas Church and Baystate Medical Center. She enjoyed weekly gatherings with her clubs and card playing friends for many years and she loved to discuss politics and have conversations with everyone she encountered. She was devoted to her family who will all have fond memories of the many years they shared with her in Maine. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Connie�s devoted nurses, Kathy, Debi, Monica, Jackie, Molly and Dana as well as Mercy Companions, the staff of Providence Place and Mercy Hospice. Also her friend, Linda DeGray for her faithful weekly visits. The funeral will be held Thursday at 9AM from the Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10AM at St Thomas Church. Burial will follow in Paucatuck Cemetery. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 4-7PM.
