Daniel Strain passed away unexpectedly at home on July 16. He was 62 years old. Born in Holyoke on October 15, 1963, Daniel was raised in Springfield, where he lived until moving to West Springfield over 15 years ago. 

Daniel was a talented mechanic who could work on anything with an engine. When he was not working, he loved to be active and athletic. He could often be found golfing, bowling, and playing darts or pool. 

Daniel loved to spend time with his daughter Deonna, always having as many laughs as possible. 

Daniel was predeceased by his parents, David and Dolores Strain. He is survived by his daughter Deonna Strain and stepmother Barbara Strain, both of West Springfield, and sister Carrie Degray of Springfield. 

Friends and family may pay their respects 5 – 6pm on July 27 at TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME.
