West Springfield- David Allyn Chaput, 67, passed away Monday at Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Pawtucket, RI to the late William and Gladys (Zwicker) Chaput. He grew up there and settled in this area in 1985. He was employed on the grounds crew at St. Stanislaus Cemetery for over 20 years. Prior to that David worked at Olympic Fasteners in Agawam. He was an outdoorsman and especially enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was an avid sports fan and liked all the New England teams, but his real love was watching his grandchildren compete and he never missed one of their games. David was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lois (Skiera) Chaput in 1997. He was the beloved father of Travis Chaput and his wife Michelle, and loving grandfather of Troy and Kylie Chaput all of West Springfield. He was the caring brother of William Chaput, Robert Chaput, and Barbara Belisle and special uncle to Dennis and Joan Bealieu and their children, Megan, Jason and Kevin and their families as well as several other nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Friday from 4:00-6:30 PM at the TOOMEY-O�BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street, West Spfld. Following the calling hours there will be a Funeral Home Service at 6:30 PM. The Committal Service will be at 1 PM on Saturday at the Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence, RI.
