Obituary
David R. Normand, 74, passed away August 31, 2022 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 20, 1948 to the late Adjutor and Helen Normand. David proudly served in the US Army, in Germany and Vietnam. He worked for Hamilton Sunstrand for over 35 years. A machinist by trade, he enjoyed tinkering in his workshop and working on his 1953 Chevy. David was an avid coin collector and loved finding treasures at tag sales. He leaves his loving wife of 53 years, Sandra (Parrott), his children; Julie Normand and her husband Tom Yudichak of Austin, TX., Lisa Normand and her husband Tom Tencati of W. Springfield, and Todd Normand and his wife Jessica Coelho of Longmeadow, MA., his four grandchildren; Justin, Alice, Edith, and Isaac. David was predeceased by his brother Ken. He also leaves his siblings: Emily Corey, Anne DePalma, Paul Normand, Jonathan Normand, Mark Normand, Joel Normand, Jennifer Shoup, and Karen Bannon along with many nieces and nephews. Calling Hours will be held WED Sept 7th from 11:15 AM to 1:15 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 WESTFIELD ST., W. SPFLD followed by a procession to the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery for Interment Services with Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation in David’s name to the American Cancer Society, 330 Whitney Ave., Ste 420, Holyoke, MA 01040
