Obituary
Dennis E. Roberts, 77, passed away March 5,2022 at Baystate Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born in Springfield, December 4, 1944, he was the son of the late George and Mary (Galica) Roberts. Dennis worked for over 50 years at Smith and Wesson in Springfield. He was a graduate of Chicopee High School and attended STCC. Dennis was a proud Army veteran during the Vietnam War. He leaves his beloved wife, Patricia (Deckard) Roberts, his beloved children, Lori Jasmen and her husband Stephen of Florida and John Collins of Chicopee, his 9 loving grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, his best friends, Mike and MaryAnn Wrisley and his beloved dog Mia. He was predeceased by his stepson, James Collins III and his brother George “Ron” Roberts. The funeral will be held Thursday 12:30PM at the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield with burial to follow in the Mass. Veteran’s Cemetery in Agawam. Calling hours are Thursday 10:30 - 12:30PM. Donations may be made to the Dakin Humane Society 171 Union St Springfield, MA 01105 or the T.J. O’Connor Foundation 66 Industry Ave Springfield, MA 01104.
