Diane M Russell

Diane M. (DeRaleau) Russell, 74, passed away Jan. 14, 2023, at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, August 18, 1948, she was the daughter of the late Paul P. and Margaret (McDonald) DeRaleau. Diane was a graduate of W.Spfld. High School class of 1966 and the former Springfield Trade School L.P.N. program. She worked for many years at Baystate Medical Center as a L.P.N. and also as a pool nurse for many facilities. She was a communicant of the Sacred Heart Church in Feeding Hills. She leaves her children, Christopher of St. Augustine, FL and Sharon Bell of Lee, NH, her sister, Pauline McCarthy of West Springfield, her grandchildren, Patrick, Gabrielle, Jasmine, Rayven and Lucas and her great granddaughter, Sophie. The funeral will be held Friday Jan. 20 at 11:30AM from the Sacred Heart Church in F. Hills. Calling hrs. will be Fri from 9:30-11AM from the Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home 1043 Westfield St. W.Spfld. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cem. in Spfld. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Rays of Hope P.O. Box 5141 Spfld. MA 01101.
