Diane T. (Taylor) Courtney, 68, passed away Friday at home. Born in Springfield, November 29, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Florence (Janse) Taylor. Diane worked as a clerk for the US Postal Service for many years. She loved traveling, the beach, camping and loved her time with her Ladies Prayer Group. She especially loved spending time with her family, was always happy and had a positive outlook on life. She leaves her beloved husband of 48 years, Howard W. Courtney Sr., her loving children, Sean and his wife Suzanne of West Springfield and Theresa Verdon of West Springfield; her beloved brother, William Taylor of West Springfield, her sister in law, Judith Bleau and her husband Dennis of Agawam; her loving grandchildren, Jacob, Rebecca, Christian, Rachael, Danielle, Aaron, Riley and her loving great grandson Jaxin. She was predeceased by her son, Howard W. Jr. and her grandson Justin Messier. Calling Hours for Diane will be Tuesday from 4-6 with a funeral home service at 6pm at TOOMEY-OBRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St., West Springfield, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Holyoke Hospice and VNA, 575 Beech St., Holyoke, MA 01040.
