Obituary
Diane M. Walsh, 62, passed away Thursday December 27, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield, July 22, 1956, she was the daughter of Margaret C. (Farrell) Walsh and the late Bartholomew Walsh. Diane was a graduate of West Springfield High School and worked at Springfield College for many years as a research and access specialist in the library and was a communicant of St. Thomas Church. Besides her mother Margaret she leaves her sister, Colleen Johnston of Abbott, ME, her nephews Kyle and Torin, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins. A funeral home service will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2019 at 11AM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield St West Springfield with burial to follow in St Thomas Cemetery. A calling hour will be from 10AM-11AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Diane’s name to either the American Heart Association, PO Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241 or the National 4-H Council, 7100 Connecticut Ave., Chevy Chase, MD 20815.
