Donald J. Provencher, 84, passed away Sunday May 3, 2020. He was born June 11, 1935 to the late Francis and Eva Marie Provencher. Don worked for the railroad for over 30 years before retiring as an engineer. He was a carpenter and built dozens of houses. In retirement, he enjoyed tinkering around building things. Don also enjoyed attending summer concerts and loved his sweets. But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Don was predeceased by his wife Anne (Noonan) Provencher. He leaves his loving children; Kathryn Bunnell and her husband Douglas of W. Spfld, Lauren Provencher of Granby, CT., Lynne Gannuscio and her husband Joe of Enfield, CT., and Dennis Provencher of Enfield, CT., his 5 grandchildren; Chance, Anna, Audrey, Desiree and Christopher, his two great grandchildren; Atlas and Madison along with several nieces and nephews. Don also leaves behind his longtime companion Lorraine Dailey and her children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Brian Provencher and several brothers and sisters. Funeral Services and Burial are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to the Parkinson’s Disease Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 720 Harrison Ave. Boston, MA 02134. The Toomey-O’Brien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
