Obituary
Donald Paul Sheridan, 88, of Paulson Drive passed away Thursday at home. He was born in Springfield on April 11, 1931 to the late Joseph and Evelyn (Geoffrion) Sheridan. Don lived all of his life in West Springfield. He owned and operated Sheridan Trucking in West Springfield for over 50 yrs. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time at his home in The Villages, FL. He was a communicant of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in West Springfield. Don loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was the beloved husband of Gale (Demers) Sheridan who passed away last year, loving father of Dawn Slinsky and her husband Mark of Feeding Hills, Lisa O’Brien and her husband Dan of West Springfield and Lori Foley and her husband William of West Springfield, devoted grandfather of Jeremy, Emily, Joseph, and Paul Slinsky, Jamie Wapner and her husband Chris, Jessica Clement and her husband Steve, Jennifer Bielanski and her husband Logan, and Joshua O’Brien, Stephanie Foley, Brittany Perreault and her husband Ryan, the late Nathan Foley, and caring great grandfather of Teagan Wapner, Aiden Clement and Austin Clement. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Charlie. Don was predeceased by his four siblings; Harvey, William and Walter Sheridan and Regina Pierce. The Calling Hours will be Sunday from 4-7 PM at the TOOMEY-O’BRIEN FUNERAL HOME, 1043 Westfield Street. West Spfld. There will be a Funeral Home Service at 11 AM Monday followed by a burial at St. Thomas Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Don’s name may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942.
