Donald E. Vachon

West Springfield - Donald E. Vachon, passed away Friday in the comfort of his home. He was born in Ludlow to the late Leona (Matt) and Emile Vachon. Donald was a graduate of Commerce High School and attended the University of Massachusetts. He was a proud Vietnam War Veteran, having served in the US Navy. Donald owned and operated One Day Transmission and dabbled in Real Estate. He was an avid traveler. He leaves his life partner of forty years, Ann Parent, and her son Joey Parent of Boulder, CO, his son, Michael Vachon and his sister, Lorraine Frame of Spring Hill, FL. There will be a 1:00PM Committal Service Wednesday, June 1st at the MA Veteran�s Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main Street, Agawam. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Soldiers� Home in Holyoke, 110 Cherry St., Holyoke, MA 01040. Toomey-O�Brien Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
