Doris A. Nault

West Springfield -Doris Annette (Lefebvre) Nault,, age 87, passed away on March 3, 2024. She was born on September 18, 1936 in Springfield, MA to Albert and Annette (Roy) Lefebvre. After she graduated Cathedral high school she worked as an AT&T operator. She met the love of her life Frank Nault at a dance at Mountain Park right before he was leaving for the Navy during the Korean war. She waited for him and they married on February 2, 1957. She loved children and stayed at home much of the time to raise the nine children they had together. She always helped out with Girl Scouts & 4H when the children were small. Doris was an avid learner and passionate about reading. Later in life she went back to school and attained a degree in Medical Records from HCC. She was a devoted Catholic and spent many hours attending St. Thomas Church and also helping out where needed. Doris is survived by her husband, Francis (Frank) J. Nault, who was devoted to her until the end, her children Christine M. Southworth (Bob), Linda A. McDonough (Marty), Teresa N. Gable (Barry Martin), Thomas J. Nault,,Pamela J. Nault, Patricia K. Henault (Brian), and Lorrianne M. Nault (Paul Sutton). She also leaves her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren along with her sister Lorraine Marchescelli (Richard). She was predeceased by her sons Daniel W. Nault, and Stephen P. Nault and her brother Albert Lefebvre, Jr and his wife Carol. Visitation will be 5-7p.m. Thursday, March 7th at Toomey O’Brien Funeral Home, 1043 Westfield St, West Springfield. Friends and family will meet at the Funeral Home at 8:30am on Friday, March 8, and proceed to a Liturgy of Christian Burial at St. Thomas Church, in West Springfield at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam.
